Personal Protection, Safety, and Self Defense Programs for Individuals and Organizations

What has increased 500% in New Mexico since 1950?

No, it's not the price of gas.

Unfortunately it is violent crime!

Luckily there is something you can do about it

Attempted murders and aggravated assults have risen 5 fold in the last 50 years. The only reason homicide numbers are not up that much is due to advancements in medical technology that save people with advanced life saving measures.

New Mexico is one of the most violent states in the nation. We have higher per capita violent crime than almost any other state. Our murder rate is second only to Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico. Attempted murders, aggravated assaults, rape, and other violent crimes are more proliferate here than almost anywhere else.

What's the best way to reduce the risks of becoming a victim of these violent acts?

Sticking your head in the sand and pretending it does not exist won't work. But here are some things that can help:

  1. Change your attitude; never accept the idea that you are a victim and someone else has control over your life.
  2. Become aware of what types of crimes are happening in your community. Learn what crimes are common, where, when, and how they occur and then take steps to reduce your risk of becoming another victim.
  3. Accept personal responsibility for your own safety. It is not the job of the government or the police to make sure you are safe. That is up to you.
  4. Read the Safety Tips and implement them into your daily life.
  5. Take a good quality, reality-based self defense course like the ones offered by Personal Defense Systems.

Personal Defense Systems provides quality self defense programs. They include a 1-hour Intro to Personal safety, Basic Self Defense, Urban Survival, all the way up to a very intense and realizstic three level Urban Combat program for those who are serious about protecting themselves and their loved ones.

It is my strong belief that the most people know, the more tools they have, the better equipped they are to conquer the challenges life throws at them. In the realms of self defense and personal protection, conquering means winning, and that is the only acceptable option.
